Here is the concept of a cognac bottle design. The aim of the client was to make in look premium. My aim was to achieve this without using the traditional premium attributes like golden folio and total golden-black design.
Inspiration came from a classical english interior design and the figure of a person choosing this cognac as I imagine him. Here I see an intellectual artist seeking for a minutes of relaxation in his exquisitely decorated office or workshop. I see Bulgakov’s Master. I see Ernest Hemingway played by Corey Stoll in Woody Allen’s «Midnight in Paris».
The design
The main element of the design is a letter G (G-Grandefort) in the shape of a secondary package which is a removable tube. The latter will make the bottle more discernible on the supermarket shelf and nice to have in the home minibar.
